Louisville Pride Festival Prepares For Its 10th Year Event

The Louisville Pride Festival is celebrating 10 years on Saturday, Sept. 6 from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. along Bardstown Rd. in the Highlands. The theme this year is “Decades: Resistance and Hope Through The Years.” The theme will honor the resilience, struggle, and ongoing battle for equality for the LGBTQ+ community. 

“As we celebrate a decade of Louisville Pride, we reflect on the strength of those who paved the way and the vibrant community we continue to build,” said Ebony Cross, Executive Director of the Louisville Pride Foundation in a release. “Despite challenges, we stand firm in hope, unity, and pride.”

The festival has grown, seeing over 15,000 patrons each year. 

“This festival is a testament to love, resilience, and unity,” said Cross in the release. “Whether you’ve been with us from the start or are attending for the first time, we invite you to celebrate with us.”

The Louisville Pride Festival is a free event powered by volunteers, sponsors, and donors making it accessible to all.
