Michael Ray returns to cartooning. Previously, he was published in the esteemed local alt-press, including CityPaper, MainStreet, Louisville Artist Magazine, and spent a handful of years at the University of Louisville Cardinal (starting in the mid-seventies “shudder”). He is unapologetically still a liberal hippie. His work will appear as the muse strikes him.
“Every once in a while, a cartoon just cries out for a sequel,” said Ray. “This is one of those times. The “war” with Iran has just been a messy composite of uselessness and expense in lives and budgets. Looks like this new two-week TACO period gives Iran most everything they want, and all we get is our President saying, “We won!” And trying to remove his name from this. I’m old enough to remember Nixon and Kissinger saying the same thing in Vietnam. Our last aircraft had barely taken off when the Viet Cong took over the city.”
