Another individual who was in the custody of Louisville Metro Department of Corrections has died.
In the afternoon of Friday, March 14, officers at Metro Corrections found an unresponsive 54-year-old, white male. The man was housed in the medical unit.
He was transported to “a hospital downtown” where he was later declared deceased.
The man had been in custody at LMDC since 2022. They are reporting that his death is believed to be from natural causes. Both the LMDC Professional Standards Unit and the LMPD Public Integrity Unit were advised of the incident.
The man’s name was unavailable as they needed to notify the next-of-kin.
