Louisville Joins Nationwide ICE Protests

Louisville protesters gathered on Saturday, Jan. 10, at the Belvedere in downtown to protest the abuses of the ICE organization. The protests this week were sparked by the murder of a Minneapolis woman, Renee Good, by ICE after she was confronted by them in her car and tried to leave the scene.

The officer who shot her, Jonathan Ross, is reportedly in hiding after federal agents assisted his family in packing up belongings and moving them into protective custody.

Protests began immediately following what many Americans feel is an unjust killing, escalated by the actions of the ICE agents. The #ICEOUTFORGOOD protests are happening again on Sunday, Jan. 11, in various cities across the nation.
